A pair of suspects remain at large and Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help to bring them to justice after two were injured in an incident at the start of the month.

Dallas Police are seeking 24-year-old Jonathan Fontanez and 28-year-old
Shamuel Machado, who both fled the scene following an altercation on Saturday night, June 1, 2024.

Per a release from the Dallas Police, the pair were shot following a verbal altercation with Fontanez and Machado, and both were found on the ground outside of the Dallas Terrace Apartments on Old Acworth Road around 10:46 p.m.

Both victims were rushed to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for further treatment after emergency treatment was rendered on scene.

“The 33-year-old victim’s condition has been listed as critical and he is receiving further medical attention. The 31-year-old victim is stable and recovering from his injuries,” the release noted.

Additionally, the release noted the efforts of two officers who arrived on scene and immediately helped the victims.

“On behalf of our entire agency, we would like to commend Officers Kaley Love and Donald Woodard for their extraordinary life-saving efforts displayed during this incident,” Chief Joseph Duvall said in the release. “Their prompt and decisive actions were instrumental in saving a life, and their exceptional bravery and composure under pressure deserve recognition.

Both Fontanez and Machado are being sought for warrants for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police are hoping the public will help in locating the pair, and those with information are asked to immediately call 911 or reach out to Dallas Police Sgt. Nathan Graham via email with information at ngraham@dallas-ga.gov.
