Release: Woman jailed for assaulting children at home daycare

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office announced today that a woman was arrested on Wednesday at her home daycare in Hiram, and she was taken into custody on allegations she assaulted children under her care.

Per a release from the PCSO, they arrested Goldia Marie Lipsky, 63, on Wednesday at her home daycare Reach For The Sky Academy in on Mill Creek Lane in Hiram after authorities got search and arrest warrants based on video evidence they received on the same day, January 25.

Per the release, the anonymous tip received by the Sheriff’s Office alleged that Lipsky was alleged to have assaulted five different children ranging in age from eight months to three years old in her home daycare earlier this month.

The video shot on January 12 “clearly shows the assaults taking place” and Detectives from the Juvenile Division of the PCSO immediately sought and secured warrants based on the video submitted to police.

Once they reached the Hiram home-based daycare, Lipsky was found and served the warrants and was taken into custody without further incident.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office charged her with felonies for one count of aggravated assault and two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree. She also faces misdemeanors – five counts of cruelty to children in the third degree.

She is being held in the Paulding County Jail without bond.
