Be advised, Paulding: another round of severe thunderstorms are heading this way.
Paulding joins many other Northwest Georgia counties and the Metro Atlanta area late afternoon thunderstorms continue to develop and move this way from North Alabama and Haralson and Paulding counties.
Along with Paulding, the National Weather Service office in Peachtree City also has Haralson, Polk, Bartow, Douglas and Cobb counties under the watch as well. A warning is in effect until 5:30 p.m. as the latest system moves through the area.
This afternoon’s round of severe weather is a repeat from Sunday, when thunderstorms brought heavy rain, frequent lightning and strong winds into the county and knocked out power for thousands of customers.
House damage was also reported in the aftermath of the severe weather event.
