Campuses across the Paulding County School District are set to get back to business in the coming days with school set to start in less than two weeks.

The first day back is Tuesday, August 1 for students across the district after a full week of in-service duty for educators ahead of the opening of the school year.

Open houses are coming up on Thursday, July 27 for all students across the district, but are being broken up in times based on the last names of students in alphabetical order.

Here’s a breakdown of when students and parents should attend the open houses coming up next Thursday:

Students A-K at Elementary level report from 2 to 4 p.m., Middle School students should report from 4 to 6 p.m., and High School students from 4 to 6 p.m.

Students L-Z at Elementary level report from 4 to 6 p.m., and Middle and High School students and parents report for Open Houses from to 6 to 8 p.m. at their respective campuses.

The College and Career Academy Open House is being held from 4 to 8 p.m. on the 27th as well, along with a specific Paulding Virtual Academy Open House that is being held virtually. Email questions and get more information at pauldingvirtual@paulding.k12.ga.us.

The upcoming school year’s schedule has been set in stone since last November, and consists of several opportunities for students and teachers alike to get a break during the next nine months through May 2024.

In-service days begin on July 24 and continue through the 31st, and students report back to class on August 1. Immediately following on Friday, August 4, a Digital Learning Day has been set. Fall Break will be held Sept. 25 through Sept. 29, a Thanksgiving Break is set for Nov. 20 to Nov. 24, the holiday break begins on Dec. 19 with a two-hour early release and continues until January 4, 2024, when students return back from the break.

A February 19 to Feb. 24 Winter Break is on the schedule, and Spring Break is set for April 1 through April 5, 2024.

The Last Day of School is May 22, 2024 when Paulding students get out of class two hours earlier than normal to begin Summer Break.
