Barbara Kay Puett

Update:

A family will be reunited with their loved one after Barbara Puett was located this morning in Hiram, per an update from Paulding County officials.

Puett, 67, was found at a Hiram hotel and taken to the hospital for a precautionary check around 10 a.m.

Officials were thankful to all who assisted in locating Puett this morning. She suffers from dementia, cancer and diabetes and went missing on Monday.

Paulding County officials are hoping the public will be able to help find Barbara Kay Puett after she walked off from home on Monday and never returned home.

Puett, 67, suffers from dementia, has cancer and diabetes and her family is concerned for her well-being and just wants to bring her back home safely. She was last seen at 2:30 p.m. after entering a Old Cartersville Road business entering to ask for a ride or for a bus stop or hotel in Hiram or Cartersville.

Following that incident, Puett was spotted getting into a red Jeep Renegade SUV on Old Cartersville Road in the area of GA 61 North.

“Detectives would like to encourage anyone who might have any information about Puett’s whereabouts to please call 911 or send a message via the free Paulding Sheriff mobile app,” a release from Paulding County noted.

Puett was last seen wearing a white and blue short sleeve shirt, dark blue leggings, and black tennis shoes.

She left her home on Westminster Way in Dallas earlier on Monday.

Those with information are encouraged to call 911 immediately.
