(Dallas, GA) – The Paulding County Emergency Management Agency will coordinate a full-scale active threat exercise at Scoggins Middle School located at 1663 Mulberry Rock Road, Dallas, Georgia during the morning of June 7, 2023.
There will be numerous emergency vehicles and personnel at the school as well as Mulberry Rock Park as part of the exercise. The park will remain open however the school will be closed to the public due to safety and security for the training exercise.
The goal of the exercise is to measure local organizations capabilities to effectively respond to a mass casualty event and to identify improvement areas.
Participating organizations include: Paulding County School District, Paulding County Emergency Management Agency, Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, Wellstar Paulding Hospital, Paulding County E911, Dallas Police Department, Paulding County Fire/Rescue, Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service and the Georgia Emergency Management/Homeland Security Agency.
The exercise will be controlled and conducted based on FEMA’s Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) principles.
