Dallas Police took a man into custody last week in Tennessee after he was charged with the death of a woman in a domestic incident that happened on November 20, according to a press release from officials released this afternoon.

Brandon Howard, 37, of a Dallas address, was taken into custody in Lenoir City, Tennessee by the Loudon County Sheriffs Office last Tuesday, November 21.

This came after Dallas Police found 36-year-old Jennifer Hester stabbed multiple times on the floor of a Westwood Drive residence the previous night. Per the press release, officers immediately tried to render aid when they found Hester on the floor, but those efforts along with those of paramedics couldn’t save Hester and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enough evidence was collected by detectives at the scene for Howard’s arrest and warrants were taken out and a lookout placed for him to be taken into custody.

Charges currently include Malice Murder, Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault.

Dallas Police Chief Joseph Duvall said in the statement that “On behalf of our entire agency, we would like to thank the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and all members of the community who assisted us during our investigation.”

He additionally asked the community’s help in stepping up to prevent such incidents from happening.

“As this incident involves domestic violence, if you or anyone you know finds yourself a victim of domestic violence, there are local and nationwide resources ready to help. Locally call 911 or reach out to the National Domestic Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.”
