Mrs. Ruth McDowell Bradley Wigley, age 87 of Rockmart, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021.
She was born July 13, 1933 in Paulding County, to loving parents, the late J. T. McDowell and the late Mamie Strickland McDowell.
She was a caregiver for many years and was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. McDowell loved to read her Bible, sew, listen to music and spend time with her family and friends. She also loved working in her garden.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ehi Bradley; her second husband, Charles Wigley; a son, Robert (Bobby) Bradley; and two brothers, James McDowell and Wendell McDowell.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Bradley Gaulding and her husband Brownie of Rockmart and Linda Bradley Robertson of Cobb County; three sisters, Peggy Haygood of Paulding County, Elva Lancaster of Kentucky and Linda Hutcheson of Rockmart; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Funeral graveside and interment services for Mrs. Wigley will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery of Dallas.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service between the hours of 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.
