Mr. William “Ricky” Townsend, age 74, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on February 28, 2022 in Buchanan, Georgia.
Mr. Townsend was born September 11, 1947 in Dallas, Georgia to Mr. William Edward Townsend and Mrs. Ruthie Mae Fields Townsend. He was married to Mrs. Linda Fay Hedgepath Townsend for many years prior to her passing 8 days ago.
Mr. Townsend worked as a carpenter for many years. He framed many homes in Paulding County.
Mr. Townsend is preceded in death by: Wife, Mrs. Linda Fay Townsend; Parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Edward (Ruthie Mae Fields) Townsend; Brothers, Mr. Raymond Townsend and Mr. Danny Townsend.
Mr. Townsend is survived by; Son, Mr. Dwayne Townsend (Angela); Daughter, Mrs. Pamela Townsend Stanley (Shain); Grandchildren, John Townsend, Kevin Townsend, Kimberly Craton and Lindsey Morrow; 13 Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Townsend will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Tracy Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens in Hiram, Georgia.
Visitation for Mr. Townsend will be Thursday, March 3, 2022, 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. and Friday, March 4, 2022, 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
