Mr. Tyler F. Gunnell

Mr. Tyler F. Gunnell, age 71, of Cedartown and formerly of Douglasville, died Sunday morning in a Cartersville Hospice Facility.

A native of Austell, Georgia, Mr. Gunnell was born on April 16, 1950, the son of Myrtle Fain Gunnell and the late Wendell Gunnell.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was a Christian having been raised in the Methodist Church.

Mr. Gunnell was known as an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed traveling out west on hunting trips. He grew up during a time when fast cars and drag racing was very popular.

He enjoyed NASCAR and was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father and was a member of the Latham Masonic Lodge #12 F&AM

Survivors include his sons; Jared & Nicole Gunnell and Trent Gunnell. Four grandchildren, Jordan, Preston, J.D. and Hope Gunnell. His mother, Mrs. Myrtle F. Gunnell.

Funeral services for Mr. Gunnell will be conducted on Wednesday March 2, 2022 at 2 pm from the chapel of Bellamy Funeral Home with Mr. Joe Fowler and Rev. Dennis Bellamy officiating. Burial will follow in the Powder Springs Memorial Gardens with military rites and masonic rites.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
