Mrs. Betty Jo Hendon, age 86, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at her residence in Kennesaw, GA.
Mrs. Hendon was born on July 2, 1935, in Jacksonville, Alabama to parents, the late Mr. Joe Trantham and Mrs. Nancy Johnson Trantham.
Mrs. Hendon was married to the late Mr. Ted Hendon until his passing in 2007. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was always doing for others, making sure they were always taken care of. Mrs. Hendon enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren, and spending quality time with her family. She loved her fur babies very much also. Mrs. Hendon was a light who brought love to all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
Mrs. Hendon is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Rhonda Hilburn (David) and Mrs. Regina Martin; grandchildren, Sarah Hendricks (Joshua) Joseph Hilburn (Michaela), Justin Martin and Nathan Martin (Erin); great-grandchildren, James Hendricks and Astrid Martin. Sister, Mrs. Gloria McGinnis. Many other relatives and friends also survive.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hendon was preceded in death by her brother, Mr. John Trantham.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Jones officiating.
Interment services will be held on Wednesday July 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Cheatham Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, GA.
****Please note the family will gather at the cemetery on Wednesday July 6, 2022 at 11AM, there will be no precession to the cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 3, 2022 from 1:30 PM until the hour of service at 2:30 PM.
