Paulding County School District is following others in ensuring student and staff safety in the coming days with a decision to close campuses across the area for Thursday and Friday.
There’s still a determination to be made about the region football game between Dalton and Hiram to be decided upon, but all other extracurricular activities are called off for the rest of the week as well.
District offices will also be closed on Thursday and Friday.
Polk School District, Gordon and Calhoun City Schools are among those in Northwest Georgia already announcing campus closures. PSD is on a Learn from Home schedule for the next two days, while the other schools have announced closures for Thursday and Friday.
Bartow County, Floyd County and Rome City Schools are monitoring the situation. Douglas County hadn’t announced any closures as of this posting. Cobb County also hadn’t announced any closures as of this posting.
