Want to have an opportunity to voice the good or bad about Highway 278’s stretch through the county?

Now’s the chance.

The County is calling upon citizens to take part in a survey that is hoping to get comment for a planning study underway to determine the best course of action moving forward for the corridor, that stretches some 17 miles of the U.S. Highway route from east to west Paulding County, leading to Polk County in the west and to Cobb County in the east.

Highway 278’s corridor has vastly grown in the past decades, locally containing much of the shopping and commercial business concentrated along the route including anchor chains like Walmart, Sams Club, Target, Aldi, Chick-fil-A, Home Depot, Best Buy and many others. It also includes Wellstar Paulding Hospital at one of the busiest intersections in the county at Highway 278 and Highway 120.

Several questions are asked about access, safety, traffic flow, attractiveness and bicycle and walking access along the highway.

Visit here to take part in the survey.
