Local law enforcement agencies are teaming up to take part in a nationwide effort for the annual National Night Out in Downtown Dallas.
The event meant to promote better relationships between the community and law enforcement.
The 6 to 8 p.m. family-friendly event will be taking over Main Street and includes opportunities for giveaways, plus law enforcement vehicles for kids to check out, fingerprinting and more.
Bounce houses will be setup as well.
Food trucks will also be part of the night’s event.
Look for Dallas PD, Hiram PD, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and others to be involved in Tuesday’s event.
The goal of the event is to promote community relations with local law enforcement agencies, in an effort to instill greater trust between police and residents in a hope to increase safer neighborhoods.
