A procession of law enforcement escorted the body of Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Brandon Cunningham home on Monday evening as brothers in blue saluted his remains as he left the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for his last ride home.
Now the community will be able to celebrate his life this coming Friday following the tragic events that saw him taken too soon from family and friends, colleagues and Paulding County at-large.
Officials from the Sheriff’s Office noted this evening that West Ridge Church in Dallas will be hosting services on Friday afternoon, August 23 to celebrate the life of Deputy Cunningham, set to start at 2 p.m.
A visitation is planned for 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church prior to the beginning of the services.
Law enforcement have a number of events planned to honor Cunningham’s service to the community planned for the afternoon service, including a 21-gun salute, the playing of taps, a flyover and a last call will also be taking place at the church.
Graveside services and internment will be reserved for family, friends and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office personnel.
“The family welcomes everyone to line the processional route to the cemetery showing their love and support for Brandon,” the PCSO noted in a release this evening.
Additional details will be forthcoming before Friday’s services about the route of the procession.
Check back for further details as they become available.
