The Dallas Theater is putting on a show!

Presented by Mad Artists’ Entertainment– a Kennesaw based company for locally based artists– the Dallas Theater will present Arsenic and Old Lace, a play probably best known through its most popular film adaptation starring Cary Grant.

Originally written by American playwright Joseph Kesselring, Arsenic and Old Lace is a farcical black comedy the follows Mortimer Brewster, a newly engaged drama critic who visits his family to tell the happy news of his impending marriage.

Little does Mortimer know, however, that his spinster aunts have been poisoning lonely old men for years with laced elderberry wine. Seeking to rid his family of their maniacal tendencies, Mortimer strives to keep his own sanity in tact as he struggles to save them all.

Arsenic and Old Lace begins Friday, August 12 at 7:30 PM, with two more shows to follow on Saturday, August 13 at 3 PM and 7 PM. There will be one last opportunity to catch the show on Sunday, August 14 at 3 PM.

Tickets for the show are $15, or $12 on discount. Tickets will be delivered via email or text to print at home, or you may show them on your phone when you arrive. Tickets may also be picked up at Will Call one hour before the show starts (when you check out, choose Will Call). Please visit this link to purchase tickets.
